上週末，徐之昇老師受邀擔任《2025 Taiwan Real-World Evidence Symposium（TRWE 2025）》論壇與談人，與來自產官學研各界的專家交流 RWE 在醫療產業中的機會與挑戰。
TOPharmNet 是由一群旅外藥學人於 2020 年創立的專業交流社群，致力於連結國際經驗與台灣藥學界。此次為期三天的線上研討會，內容精彩多元，展現世代共學與國際對話的力量。
在論壇中，老師分享了台灣目前在推動 RWE 實務上的幾項關鍵觀察，包括政府支持的擴大、資料整合與標準化的挑戰，以及 OHDSI 架構下分散式分析與去識別化技術的潛力。同時，也點出人才培育的關鍵在於「方法論訓練與跨院實戰並進」。
特別值得一提的是，老師的前博士生 Phuc 也在學生分享場次中，發表其以 OMOP-CDM 進行帕金森氏症與癌症研究的成果，展現年輕世代研究者的視野與能力。

Last weekend, Professor Jason Hsu was invited to speak as a panelist at the 2025 Taiwan Real-World Evidence Symposium (TRWE 2025), joining global experts in a dialogue on the opportunities and challenges of real-world evidence (RWE) in healthcare.
TOPharmNet, founded in 2020 by overseas Taiwanese pharmacy professionals, is a community dedicated to connecting global pharmacy experiences with Taiwan's local practice. The three-day virtual symposium fostered vibrant cross-generational and cross-disciplinary exchange.
In the panel session, Prof. Hsu shared several key observations from Taiwan’s RWE landscape: increasing government engagement, challenges in data integration and standardization, and the potential of federated analysis and de-identification technologies within the OHDSI framework. He also highlighted the importance of cultivating talent through both methodological training and real-world collaboration.
A special highlight: Prof. Hsu’s former PhD student, Phuc, presented his research on Parkinson’s disease and cancer using the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM), demonstrating the strength and vision of emerging RWE researchers.
