徐之昇教授受邀於光田綜合醫院進行線上專題演講，主題為「全球觀察性健康資料研究趨勢」，分享真實世界數據與證據（Real-World Data / Real-World Evidence, RWD/RWE）於全球醫療與政策應用的最新發展。
本次演講內容涵蓋資料標準化在健康數據價值轉化中的關鍵角色，以及OHDSI於全球健康資料科學領域所建立的跨國研究網絡與開放科學生態系。同時，亦介紹各國監管機構（如美國FDA與歐洲EMA）如何將真實世界證據納入決策體系，反映RWD/RWE在臨床與政策層面的重要性日益提升。

[Speaking] Professor Jason C. Hsu Invited to Speak at Kuang Tien General Hospital: Global Trends in Observational Health Data Science Research

Professor Jason C. Hsu was invited to deliver an online keynote lecture at Kuang Tien General Hospital on March 17, titled “Global Trends in Observational Health Data Science Research.” The lecture focused on the latest global developments in Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Evidence (RWE), and their growing roles in healthcare and policy decision-making.
The presentation highlighted the critical role of data standardization in unlocking the value of health data, as well as the global collaborative network and open science ecosystem established by OHDSI. It also discussed how regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) are increasingly incorporating RWE into decision-making processes.
In addition, the lecture explored the applications of artificial intelligence and federated learning in enabling cross-institutional and international data collaboration, and shared Taiwan’s practical experience and strategic approach in advancing data standardization and global integration.
The online session attracted strong participation from healthcare professionals and featured active discussions, further strengthening academic exchange in observational health data research and laying a solid foundation for future cross-institutional and international collaborations.
